Slumdog Millionaire

This movie deserves a 10 stars.. everything was awesome, even the things that I usually don't care in the movies, it's so good that when it comes out in dvds you will want to get a copy, A movie like Kal Ho Naa Ho, Pay it forward &.. A walk to remember :D heheh!

Well you could almost predict the ending, but still get wowed with the guy came up with that story, how he connected each story, He did become a millionaire, but he's heart was not after money, He just joined the gameshow hoping that Latika (his childhood friend) will see her.

And one of my favorite part there is not really part of the movie, it's like their finale dance where everyone starts dancing, If you've seen Indian movies you know what I'm talking about =D

Why Samson?

We all know Samson's story right? Samson was a strong man he killed a lot of philistines when he became the judge of Israelites. God was upon Him that time of glory. But we also know how dumb Samson was.. He didn't know that Delilah was tricking him, or maybe he knew in someway but still, 4 times? wouldn't he recognized it by that time? How dumb right?

Why do you think Samson let it happen? out of pride? lust? or love?  maybe everything, but I say LOVE, why love? He could be with any woman that time but he choose Delilah, cause he liked her, he loved her and we don't know why, but there's something special that he sees in Delilah, but so bad he wanted to have her, He might have known that Delilah was tricking her, but out of love he denies it.  I did not mean that with love you will fail, but it's how you love, who you love first, who you're pleasing out of love.. When God is not your first love, and it becomes the person you are with then lust and pride will come along. I'm not in a relationship right now and I'm not married, I don't know how hard could it be not to mix those things up, that's why reading God's word is very important, it reminds you, warns you.. not to harm you but for us to prosper. Deutoronomy 6:24 The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the ease today. jdf

If only Samson was smart enough to figure out that time, no? But see the Bible is a non-fiction book,it talks about real life. This sin, the same sin that Samson did is still happening. But lets not use it as an excuse to sin, "those guys sinned, and still there's a good outcome, Samson killed a lot of philistines.. but he died also".. That's how God loves us, there's still a good outcome even if we fail him, But as one of the apostle said it dead to sin and alive in Christ, so we might as well go with His way right? when we know that our way will never be as good as His. Lesson learned with Samson, lets not mingle with sin, even if it looks little, when we know that there's something wrong, run! don't let it come to worse before it comes to your senses. okay?  =D God bless!

Fall out of love by choice

The happiest people don't always have the best of everything, they just always make the best out of everything

No one falls in love by CHOICE
  it is by CHANCE
No one stays in love by CHANCE
  it is by WORK
No one falls out of love by WORK
  it is by CHOICE

Thank You Josie!

I so loove Josie! last Wednesday she gave me Phil Wickham's autograph, well Natalie hand it over cause Josie went somewhere else that time. I'm like jumping all over the store when Natalie gave it to me. I was so touched cause she knows I like Phil Wickham when I only said it to her once, and that was like months ago (october maybe), well I don't really care if it's last year autograph, I just can't pull out words to define how happy I am right now...
And I really wanted to see Phil Wickham again, last july was my first and last time I saw Him =(.. I wish he joins crusades again here in L.A. ..I have a funny story about him, I think only few people knows his songs that time.. people were like just standing and waiting for P.O.D. to come out (one of them) but as we listen to his songs, we loved it, our first impression was "ooh, good looking guy with a good voice" but if you really listen to the lyrics.. oh man! you'll really see that he's not doing it for himself but for God alone, I think he was the only guy out of 5 bands that really stood out for God.

Why Wait?

In a world where celebrities and sports stars brag about their sexual conquests, is there any reason why we should wait until marriage to have sex?

No Sex was God's idea first. He created it!
The Bible tells the story of god creating the world, the plants, the animals, and the first man. The Bible says that God saw that it was not good for Adam to be alone, So God created Eve, Adam's wife. God's command to them was to be fruitful and multiply- to join together in sexual union. Sex is God's invention. It was designed for having children, of course. But it is also intended to be a pleasurable act that unites a husband and a wife together in love.

If God invented sex, then it might be worthwhile to know how he wants us to use it. The Bible gives us a lot of reasons to wait until marriage for sex. Here are few.

Biblical Reasons:

1) Sex is a beautiful gift from God and is received for marriage. Marriage is a public commitment between a man and a woman, and sex belong to marriage only ( Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.)

2) Having sex with a person creates a kind of "oneness" that God intended for marriage only ( 1 Corinthians 6:16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh."). This oneness is not just physical; it is emotional and spiritual, too. God created sensuality in a loving marriage to build intimacy and trust, and to bond the couple.

3) The Bible says we should not be sexually immoral (Act 15:20 but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood.) The word used in the Bible is "fornicate" which means sexual intercourse other than between a husband and his wife.

4) To be admired and respected by others, If someone refuses to stay in your life because you've chosen to stay pure, that person never loved you. Someone like that should be out of your life ( 1 Peter 3:16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.)

5) To have a clean conscience and no worries. If you have sex for marriage, you don't need to orry about sexually transmitted diseases or pregnancy. You also won't need to worry about the embarrassment or seeing former sexual partners. ( Proverbs 6:32, 33 But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself.Blows and disgrace are his lot, and his shame will never be wiped away;)

6) To test the commitment of the other person. Some people promise marriage just to get sex, and then they back out of their commitment. Many people have sex with people they would never marry ( Proverbs 5:3-12  For the lips of an adulteress drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil;but in the end she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave. She gives her paths are crooked, but she knows it not.Now then, my sons, listen to me; do not turn aside from what I say.Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house, lest you give your best strength to others and your years to one who is cruel, lest strangers feast on your wealth and your toil enrich another man's house. At the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent. You will say, "How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction!)

7) To grow as a Christian and be holy. You cannot grow as a Christian if you are having a sex outside of marriage (1 Thessalonians 4:13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.). Beware of people who say religious words, but pressure you to have sex ( Proverbs 7:5-15)

8) To be like Jesus. Jesus was the most loving and healthy person in history. He was tempted in every way we are, but did not sin ( Hebrews 4:15) Jesus loved all kinds of people and had a reputation for being kind to sexually immoral people. He forgave them and said they should stop sinning (Luke 7:48 Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven.") (John 8:11 "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin.")

9) To have a good life. If we love and obey God, he will give us peace of mind ( Romans 8:6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;) and He will work out  the circumstances in our lives, even our troubles, for good (Psalm 37:4-9, Romans 8:28)

10) The Bible says we should run away from sexually immoral situations (1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.)

11) To keep a good reputation. Having sex outside of marriage hurts your good name ( Ephesians 5:3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.) No one wants to be considered "cheap" or the kind of person who takes advantage of others.

12) To be clearheaded when you are making important decisions. When you are deciding who to date or marry, you need to have a clear mind ( Proverbs 5:22-23, 6:25-26). Sexual activity can distort your thinking.

Yes Man

Me and Patty watched it yesterday, it's Patty's idea to see it, I really want to see twilight (sneaky).. but I'm glad I didn't waste my money on that. I don't wanna watch it first cause I don't like there tagline "yes is the new no".. I don't like the idea of saying yes to everything, but the movie's not about that.

All in all, the movie was great! Jim Carey is known to be exaggerated on everything, and I'm still bothered with that, I don't see it as funny. It's not a 2 hours "haha" movie, some movies just overdone it. And I like how they ended the story, you can't say its a happy ending, it's like they ended it from starting again.

SPOILER ALERT! Carl (Jim Carey) is a typical guy, He's on a boring daily routine for 4 years, and he's pretty much satisfied with that, He doesn't like to attend gatherings just because. He doesn't like to add any single thing in his life, he's not really broke, he got decent job, house, 2 best friends.. but he lacks with joy. One day he attended a Leadership Training about the Yes to all whatever, it's funny cause it reminds me of a church scenario, getting saved, making a covenant and all.
He did say yes to all things, at first he find it uncomfortable, but as he sees the good effect of it, he got used to it. but I like how they put a lesson to it, He went to the founder of that club and ask him to take out the covenant when he starts to experience bad luck, and the founder told him that there's no real covenant, it's just like an expectation (i guess?) and of course you should take every opportunity that's laid in front but you should be wise, you know when you'll say yes in your heart.

Can’t stay, blue jay
MaƱana, iguana
The end, my friend!
