Dukbokki & Banana Ooyoo

So last Monday my sister and I went grocery shopping at Zion market because we miss going there and have free food taste :D.. But because it was Monday we didn't see many free food taste stands so we just went and buy stuff we need for making ramen and dukbokki. And bought tons of Yakult rip off because it's cheaper than Yakult and it taste the same. And discovered this Banana Milk that I always see kid drinking in many dramas that I've watched. Grabbed one just to taste it.. and it does taste good! It has the same flavor of one candy that I use to eat in my home country.. I can't remember what it is.

Found good sites that I started following.. There's a lot of good bloggers and helpful sites to feed your kpop madness but these sites have different sides of Korean Culture. And a good theme/ layout is always a plus =D

NOONA BLOG

I found out about her blog this month because of the fanaccount of G-dragon and TOP's music video filming, but I wasn't drawn of her blog because of that.. I was more drawn to her stories about her life in Korea and her personal blogs. She's added to the foreign bloggers in Korea that I follow.. (aa-chan and eatyourkimchi)

HELLOKPOP

Still new on following this blog, it's very user friendly and it loads really fast. Allkpop has been the top kpop blog but they're a little bit slow. I don't know if hellokpop is new or not but I like it, I hope they will continue on updating fast. And what made me like them is that they interview one of my faves NIA =)

Running Man

I am so enjoying this new sunday variety show! Because Jaesuk is here I know it's gonna be daebak.. And also Poong Ho/Joong Ki my man is here also! I love the whole plot of this story.. Hide and Seek to the next level.. props for the writer.. And for the editor also for making it extra awesome. I love game shows because I get a lot of ideas I can use :D

Now the Gary/Ji Hyo shipping is really funny. I like how Ji Hyo doesn't show any interest in any guy or in any guy guest. Anyway.. I still enjoy watching Running Man even without english subtitle because it's more on actions unlike Family Outing.. =D

Hi Mate!

I've been listening to Mate's latest album "With Mate" this February, the music they make is definitely not new to my ears, there's a lot of bands in Western countries and even in my country so I'm used to listening to this kind of music the only new thing about it is that it's Korean and I don't understand the lyrics.. but there's something about their Korean language that attracts me, how should I put it in words.. they sound pure and romantic? okay maybe not so pure but it's close to that. My favorite from the whole album are Dear My Mate and Better.. Go and It's All About Love are okay too.

My Heartbeat goes Tik Tok

When I first heard "Tik Tok" I was not impress but when they released the drama CF I fell in love with the song. Junsu and Wooyoung's part are my favorite especially the "no..bo..dy..knows" part. Red Soul made an acapella cover and mixed it with "Heartbeat" and I'm just amazed with their cover that I know I need to post it on my blog even if it's late. I first saw them on Star King with the amazing high school girls acapella group.

How can I forget the first reason why I watched You're Beautiful?!! I was so caught up with this Yong Hwa and C.N.Blue that I forgot to check on Jang Geun Suk. He had a fan meeting last week and this photos was part of it.. couldn't find a clearer copy but scans will do for now. Thanks people from soompi for sharing this. He needs to get a project for 2010 quickly!

Seo Woo looks pretty in pink

I'm excited for her new drama with Moon Geun Young! and with additional cast Taecyeon of 2PM. he's following the new trend idol-turned-into-actor, I hope it will work for him. I'm a little disappointed that Seo Woo and Im Joo Hwan is no more but it's alright, I rarely see two leading actors being paired in another drama after a successful project.. it just doesn't work in K-drama world.. But I'm glad Im Joo Hwan is having a new drama too.. I hope they will not be like Kim Bum and Kim So Eun that didn't make it after Boys Over Flowers.. but hey they're giving it another try this 2010.. good luck to my favorite couples. Cinderella's Sister will start on March 31st after Chuno.

I'm not a fan but this song got stuck in my head quite a few times because of watching CFs while waiting for the drama I'm gonna watch last year. Yesterday while I'm at kpopflash live stream they showed this video while we're waiting for SBS Inkigayo to air... I didn't know that it's Supreme Team's song.. I know nothing about them, just the fact that they won best new male artist in Mnet MAMA 2009 and one guy looks good. =)... And I think this is also the same song Park Shin Hye and Lee Hong Ki were singing in their first MinamTV..

I know I'm really ignorant when it comes to Korean indie band.. I'm glad sookyeong also updates with this kind of news.. I also found out Nia, Dia through her.. There's a news that they will release their first album this week but I didn't see anything floating around the net, which kinda sucks because I'm really anticipating something from them after watching multiple videos.. and I got really excited when I found a video of one of their member singing the song from Doremifasolatido where Jang Geun Suk wrote a song for the girl he met at the amusement park.. I so love that song! I keep looking for a rip version of that since that movie came out, I didn't even know the title of the song so it's really hard to find it.. and then bam! Mate composed the song.. I feel like going back to the days where I used to love OPM songs.. :D

Why didn't I checked her video when it was released?.. I was so occupied with all the C.N.Blue thing that I didn't bother any artist. It's my first time hearing "Another Boy" in Music Bank or Music Core last weekend while waiting for C.N.Blue's debut performance.. and man! I fell in love with her song when the chorus came.. I'm happy that I'm back to watching music shows live because it exposes me to other artists

C.N. Blue Official Photos

The theme was simple, nothing extravagant and that's why I like it.. usually when there's a kpop band to debut you can't barely see their real faces because of heavy make ups and over the top outfits w/c is also good but it'll take a while to recognize their faces like for example Mblaq, when they released their photo jacket I couldn't tell if they're good looking or what.

I can now proudly say that I know each member's name! thanks teasers for the help! And they are really good looking guys. Yong Hwa was right the other members are prettier than him..don't feel bad Yong Hwa I see you as a handsome guy! ^^ After an hour I'll be posting another C.N. Blue related news because they'll appear on small screen! wooo!!! so excited!

My Name is Kim Soo Hyun

My name is Kim Soo-hyun. Some people are curious to know why I didn't make a stage name since my name is the same as that of the great scenarist Kim Soo-hyun...... What would be good? Kim Soo-gyum? Kim... Carley? Hahahaha.
I was born on February 16, 1988. I major in acting at Joongang University.
I'm an only child but a brusque son at home. I still do call out for my mom though when I get startled.
My first part-time job was at a fastfood restaurant when I was in high school. But I got fired in the first three days because I couldn't get there on time after school. I still got paid for those three days though and how I was happy when I saw the money wired into my account. I heard that you're supposed to buy a pair of socks for your parents when you get paid for the first time so that's what I did... My mom never wore them though. I think I should've bought her socks with lace on it instead.
I once learned how to do mountain climbing. It was back when I was in high school and I used to climb boulders and even took part in competitions. I didn't win because I fell during the second course...... But I've also learned how to scuba dive. I put in an effort to learn sports that aren't usually easy to learn.


The scene I have the strongest attachment to in "Will It Snow on Christmas?" is when my character says to say to Yoon-joo, "I'm not interested (in you), but I keep noticing you." The director and lighting director made fun of me when I did that scene, calling me veteran actor Shin Sung-il, but it felt good.
When we shot the scene where my character Kang-jin walks barefoot, the director laid pebbles on the ground intentionally. He wanted me to step on them and be in pain. I know he meant to catch the moment when my face twists up naturally from the pain but my manager got so nervous that I might get hurt.
I wish I could have done better in the scene where Kang-jin looks up into the moon after rubbing on his feet. The camera got a full-shot of me from behind but I noticed my back was hunched in the way usually do when I'm sitting. I watched it at home and thought to myself, "No! Why!"


I was very scared before going into shoot for drama "Father's House." I didn't know if I'd even be able to breathe having to act amongst veteran actors Park Won-sook, Baek Il-seop and Choi Min-soo. But they took very good care of me and Mr. Baek in particular, helped me out a lot by explaining the situation my character Jae-il was in rather than showing me how to act. I really learned a lot.
Actor Choi Min-soo knew I'd become stiff with nervousness so he put in a lot of effort to help me loosen up. He would come up and talk to me, asking if I would want to learn fencing, and when I'm talking to the director, he'd come and poke me from the back but pretend not to have. He really focuses when he's acting though. From the very start he had declared, "I will not show my acting as an actor, but by becoming that person."


When I'm at home, I mostly think various thoughts. I'm not good but I also try writing. And I also watch movies. I like actors Cho Seung-woo, Ha Jung-woo and Ryoo Seung-beom in particular -- they have many aspects to them that I like in them as actors.
I actually don't think I have a set taste. I don't favor a particular genre over another. I like hip-hop because it's fun in this way, trans for another reason and I like ballad songs too. I switch amongst genres when I'm singing too. Haha.
I'm usually quite moody but whether I'm happy or sad, I like to let out those emotions rather than conceal them. That's why when I'm happy, I'll give a beggar on the street all the money that I have in my pocket but when I'm sad, feel like I almost want to die. I really like it when I'm crying so it's great when the script reads 'tears fall.' I can burn out my emotions.


I like to take photographs. I learned a lot of things from actor Lee Byung-jin while shooting sitcom "Kimchi, Cheese, Smile." He had a great camera which I looked at all the time. I got my second-hand Nikon D800 I'm using right now for a very cheap thanks to him.
It's great taking photos these days because of all the snow. I can easily express sentimental thoughts by simply getting a shot of a footprint.
But doesn't it always know on Christmas? I think it should always be a White Christmas. What did I do last Christmas? Hmm... That... Well... I went to a karaoke bar with my friends. (laugh)
