Dukbokki & Banana Ooyoo

So last Monday my sister and I went grocery shopping at Zion market because we miss going there and have free food taste :D.. But because it was Monday we didn't see many free food taste stands so we just went and buy stuff we need for making ramen and dukbokki. And bought tons of Yakult rip off because it's cheaper than Yakult and it taste the same. And discovered this Banana Milk that I always see kid drinking in many dramas that I've watched. Grabbed one just to taste it.. and it does taste good! It has the same flavor of one candy that I use to eat in my home country.. I can't remember what it is.

My sister introduced me to this new thing... well I guess just new for me because it's been on for a long time already. I like the idea how you're not using any gas or flammable materials to make it, it's just chemicals. I don't own one but I want to! just a hobby.. I don't wanna get addicted to it.. haha... I guess if I have one that's it. I still haven't gotten my animal pjs that I've been wanting since last year... well it's not like I'm gonna die if I don't have one. Heart cereals

I'm not really a health conscious person.. I know I should be.. so I tried the cereal my mom bought from her membership thingy.. and it really taste good! I only like strawberries when they're not real strawberries.. I really love how my milk turn into a strawberry milk.. kinda like a melted strawberry ice cream but better. So yea.. I'm in love with this right now.. I can eat it everyday.. hahaha

Nutella Snack & Drink

Whoever thought of this is a genius!.. I love nutella on my toast bread.. I'm sure I'm gonna love it on my bread sticks too!.. And a drink?... hmmm.. I'm so curious about this.. Need to try them!

Dana Point Outing

Loved the Mama sita Chicken! I ate like a carnivore that day =D.. I always loved Korean BBQ but men Mama sita Chicken stole it's first spot on my favorite meat.. It's really nice to have a family member that enjoys cooking and preparing foods... because I can't bear all those stuff.. only when I'm in the mood and that just happens like... 5 times a year?.. This afternoon we went to Universal City with Ate Pearl to watch a movie, we ran across this store that sell random stuff and found this cute food magnets, it looks so real that it makes you wanna grab and eat it..

Spicy Ramen with Bok Choy & Shitake Mushroom

I'm having a hard time to chew hard foods for about a week already and ramen is the easiest food I can eat. It's not that spicy like I made the day before but it's alright at least I'm not just seeing onion leaves.

..Rice cooker T_T lol. Since when did I sign-up to be a rice cooker? Why blame me if there's no rice.. I know it's not a hard task for me to complain but it's also not a hard task for them to do it...

Lol just kidding.. I love my family, I'm happy they didn't put me to be in charge with cooking.. but is it really hard to cook that I even have to do the dishes?.. ( =]] )

Sanjang Coffee Garden

It has a great atmosphere. Their fireplace is the most attractive spot to sit but not a good place if you wanna have a big meal :D. The place reminds me of Coffee Prince which is a good thing. I prefer going here than Starbucks because I like drinking coffee in a place where I can stay for hours and where I don't need to get my own coffee in the counter area. When you have new friends in town bring them to Sanjang! They are open until 2AM so expect youngsters in the evening.


Their meals are good but it's not something you can't find in other places. But their food presentation makes it taste good. There are a lot of choices when it comes to drinks. Coffees are not that bad..drinking it in a mug is better than recyclable cups. Their drinks are kinda pricey (more like paying for the place) so I prefer buying drinks that you can't find in ordinary coffee shops. Their jujube tea is the best! if you're a tea person try it! Just make sure you pronounce it right or they will give you "ginger bread" lol.. that actually happened to us yesterday my sister got furious but it's something you should laugh about.

I just wish they have more choices for dessert. Their cakes are good but there's no wow effect, you know what I mean? Their green tea ice cream is sooooo good! next to it is the red bean ice cream =D

Red Salted Egg~ is it really red?

My sister and I went to Seafood City to buy dinner and we're like craving for fish and we both like eating fish with tomatoes and red salted egg. We didn't expect to find one because there's no red egg in the egg section but my sister was able to find a packed one (you can't really see if the egg is white or red) that has a label salted eggs on the outside. To make the long story short I asked my sister why it's not red..it taste the same but it doesn't feel right (you know what I'm sayin?) And I was like "maybe it's not the red salted egg like in the Philippines..maybe it's something different" then she laughed at me and told me that they didn't come out as red egg from the beginning and they just dye/paint it so we won't get confused.. and of course I couldn't accept that fact..not sure yet if it's a fact because all this time when I entered this earth knew that red eggs are purely red from the beginning... that's like finding out that my sister is white.

So tell me....is it really not red??

My own version of Ramen Noodles

So I'm trying to set a new goal in my life... to be useful in my family. They know that they can count me on anything except cooking so they even bother to ask me to cook for them. And I want to break that!

I made kimchi fried rice for my sister 2 days ago for breakfast. I let her be my guinea pig, she didn't tell me how it taste she just gave me a "it's alright rating" meaning it's edible and not yummy.

Last Saturday me and Patty decided to make dinner for my family. Yes this is my first time helping her. It's a team effort so the blame is not all in me. The rice cake was a little soggy and we used the wrong noodles that made the soup thick. err.. I don't even know how to describe it.. but! It taste good! haha.. next time we'll make sure we use the right noodles.. so stay tuned for more fail cooking skills of yssa!

Jajangmyeon (자장면)

Finally i was able to try the famous jajangmyeon! Last night our Korean teacher treat us to a korean style chinese restaurant for dinner because he knows how we wanted to try jajangmyeon badly. Well he told me that BBQ restaurant is more famous for dinner and lunch for Jajangmyeon.

Korean Dramas is a great endorsement for food. ^^ watching Goong S, Witch Yoo Hee and Coffee Prince makes me wanna try those Jajangmyeon.

I like how the onions are well cooked.. I just didn't like how I have leftover sauce after eating.. the sauce is so yummy that if I didn't hold on to my pride I will really ask for more noodles to put in my bowl ^^.

I will definitely bring my family there to eat lunch ^_^

Kawaii Lunch Box

I want to make one for my future hubby ^^.. or for my future kids.lol... gotta start practicing now.. :))

It looks so good. but I doubt if it's enough to make me full.. I need rice in every meal!I so wanna learn how to the egg flower without using any special expensive cutter.

"it" happens

While I was checking AAtheory I stumbled on this entry.. I think it's a really cute and a unique idea.. thumbs up to them!.. Now it makes me wanna go to Taiwan.lol!

But would you eat something that looks like your shit?.. Well a real poop doesn't look like this.. only in cartoons we can find this kind of poop shape.

I don't lose my appetite even if someone is talking about nasty stuff while eating only, I'm only sensitive with the smell of the place so Modern Toilet is a hit for me :D

Oh yes Yakult!

I moved on with my addiction on Choco Pie and Milk!.. Last Sunday after church me, my brother and my sister were craving for some Yakult so we asked our dad if we can go to Koreatown Plaza before heading home.. why Koreatown? because they carry the cheapest Yakult in Los Angeles! In Food for Less it cost $2.75 while in Koreatown it's just $0.59! it's a huge difference! I don't know why they sell it cheaper...

So yea we bought 6 packs of yakult(36 pcs) and I guess my brother was so happy that he even told us to buy more stuff in the Korean grocery store. And that's how "Oh Yes (o-ye-sue)" and I met. The best ever! I thought it will be like any other choco cake.. but heck no! it's waay different!. We didn't know that it tasted that good so we just bought one box and now there's no more left T_T everyone in our family likes it.

We need to go get our "oh yes" and yakult next week!

I'm glad that my mom added Choco Pie on our grocery list!.. Now I have a reason to tag a long with her when it's grocery time.. I make sure there's three boxes of Choco Pie in our cart before even passing the Meat section..
Hmmmmmm.mmm.mmmm.. Morning, Snack, Evening Snack.. You'll never get tired of it! I'm actually eating one right now :D hahaha! When I make my own I-hop version I will surely add this on my menu!
