Easter Sunday School 2011

This is what got me busy during spring break.. I think I had more thing to do in spring break than in normal days. We prepared a special day for kids at Sunday School in celebration Jesus is risen! We wanted to stay away from egg hunting because it just gives them confusion what Easter is all about. We did like an ordinary game day but we just decorated the place :D... During game days we review all the lesson we reviewed the whole month and play games related to that :D... We played Easter relay, and the tissue rolls for the linen they used to wrap Jesus' body when he died.. We were planning to do a golf type for empty tomb but we ran out of time. And I gotta admit, we still have a lot of things to learn in timing and scheduling our day.

While checking my livejournal account I stumbled on this post, and wanted to share here also on my blog for those of you or me who needs comfort and assurance :D

Justice, Mercy... Grace

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

One of my friend explained the meaning of Justice, Mercy and Grace in our bible study at the elderly place when one of the attendees ask how would you define grace. She uses an example of a car being park on the side street.. a very expensive car, and suddenly you hit the rear of that car and the owner is just right on the side seeing the whole thing that happened.. when you handle it with justice the owner will tell you "You have to pay for the damage, because you are at fault." When it's mercy he will say "Ow, it's okay I'll let you go since your car is already old." but when it's grace he will not only say "I'll let you go since your car is already old" but he also tell you "how about I give you $50,000 and go buy yourself a new car." Grace is something that a gift that we don't deserve, and we need to accept that gift to have the grace. =)
Imagine if God said that we have to work our way to heaven.. no one will make it! Thank You Lord for paying it all for us.. thank You for Your love.. thank You that Your grace is for everybody =D

Uncomfortable, afraid.. Holy Spirit be my guide

God knows how uncomfortable I am and that I have to step forward but too scared of rejection, but the Lord is just so sweet and reminded me that I cannot face them by myself,  He's there.. He sends His Holy Spirit to be our Counselor (John 14:26). This evening while taking the bus to church I was listening to my mp3 and heard this song talks about what I'm feeling and just confirms me that I have to fix my eyes on the Him and not on the circumstances I'm in.. just like how Peter started walking on water because he started trusting Jesus when He told him to follow Him.. but once he started looking at the waves of the ocean, the storm that they are in he starts sinking.. but we also know the part where he started calling on the name of the Lord and Jesus helped him (Matthew 14:22-23). Thank You Lord for giving us Your Word

Fall Fun Night 2010

Very fun night! It always get better every year.. I'm just excited with how many people came and waited in line to get in.. God is so good! :D.. The most important thing is that every booths share the gospel. The seed has been planted and we just have to pray for those soils =)

This video was made for a book called Dug Down Deep by Joshua Harris. Haven't read it but the video makes it so interesting. Jesus is not someone who you can't reach, He came down from heaven to touch the unclean, and to set an example for us. And He reveals himself to everyone who is willing.. even with little kids, He's make himself reachable for us to have relationship. Isn't that amazing?

God looks at the heart of a person He wants to use

I went to a Retirement Home today to have a Bible Study with Ate Arlene.. she asked me to lead the worship.. I said yes because I'm free that time and I feel like I should stop saying no to opportunities that will expand God's kingdom. I wasn't expecting to have a big group since we are just starting out but I asked God the same prayer that I say when I teach in Kids Church that whoever He'll bring to the place I will share His word the way He wants me to.. well I wasn't sharing the word but it's almost the same thing as worshiping because you lead them to enter the gates heaven with praising God. It was my first time doing it in a place where I'm not around Christians but God gave me the boldness even if I wasn't asking for it.. and I'm so thankful Lord!

So when we arrived at the retirement home there's two people waiting for us.. And I'm all smiles and felt because they are "waiting" for the Bible Study to start.. well it's consider as one because Eleanor is part of the evangelism group.. She lives there and she's the one that encouraged us to pushed through this Bible study. As soon as we start the worship people started coming in.. And we have about 3 more people that came, one left early... But it was just an amazing experience.. I wasn't expecting someone to show up that time when I saw one person I was so glad.. Yes I admit it.. and I'm sorry for doubting how much God can do.. Lord you're so amazing! And These people accepted Jesus in their hearts! One lady asked first after accepting Christ "But I'm catholic..?" Then Ate Arlene explained that it's not about the religion, it's about having a relationship with Jesus.. and then she nodded and smiled.. that touches my heart.. ^_^ I don't know why but these people blessed me! Especially Eleanor, she takes the bus to go to church thrice a week and she lives far and she uses a walker too.. You can see that she's hungry for the Lord and seeking and ready to be used in the place where she lives..

And this is a lesson that I should take in.. God uses people not by their strength but by their heart.. And I admire Eleanor for her heart.

She's really a blessing and I know that God will use her more to expand His kingdom!..

And another praise report! We thought that one of the staff will stop as from worshiping because of loud guitar because she keeps one peeking, but after our study she told us that she forgot about it, next time she will announce it during breakfast and lunch time to everyone. Amen! Lord it's you! I'm so thankful for opening a door for us to share Your gospel to the people who lives there..

Happy Easter!

It's a day where we celebrate what happened 2000 years ago when Jesus had risen from the dead! He's now sitting at the right hand of the Father. It also gives us example that we will be resurrected like Him. What an awesome promise!

Jesus told Thomas when He appeared to him with His resurrected body "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed" (John 20:29 NIV)


**In the first generation seeing is believing but for us living in the present times in order to see we have to believe. ^_^

Good Friday

Without the shedding of the blood we cannot be saved, if Jesus dying on the cross didn't happen 2000 years ago  we should be at lost by now. Thank You for Your precious blood, thank You for paying the whole world's sin.
Remember what happened on the cross.. Look at how much the Father's love for us that He sent His only Son to die and save us. Thank You Lord.. Thank You Jesus.

I only know him from being Siwon's brother in Christ and that he's close with Christian artists in Kpop scene.I only found out about his music at Aatheory.. the message of the song is really great that greatest love we could ever find is God's love for sending His Son to die for us ALL to be saved.

One thing I love about Christmas is hearing Christmas Songs everywhere. There is something about music that gives a peace atmosphere. Christmas is the most awaited event for me every year.. Foods, Gifts, Family and just remembering why there is Christmas in the first place. Remembering the day Jesus was born in a humble way, and I'm just thankful that God sent His Child for all of us to be with Him... there is no greater love than that!...

Siwon sang Who Am I by Casting Crown as his solo number for their 2nd Asia Tour Concert and really I feel blessed to see a brother who's standing up on what he believes in even if he's in the entertainment industry where it pushes you to be selfish and just being boastful about everything. You know just by looking at him and seeing him for four years in entertainment industry that he's humble and faithful.

I hope that you continue to stand on what you believe in even if no one is behind you because it's what in front of you that is important. God Bless!

Fall Fun Night 09

Very fun and tiring day :D... We didn't have the time to take pictures when they opened the doors to the public, I'm sure my other churchmates was able to take some few. I told them to send it to me but I'm not putting my hopes that high.

Comparing it to last year, everything went smoothly.. We start setting up around 11:30 am then we finished everything at 4:00 pm. and we got 2 hours break to prepare for the real event. 9pm clean up time.. but me, patty and nick are still face painting. kekeke.. and got home around 11pm something.. I didn't even get the chance to take pictures of all the booths.. (next time)

The greatest thing about this event is that we were able to share God's love and basically turning things around for kids during Halloween. And even though we weren't able to each kids that came through the door we know that seeds our planted and we just gotta pray for them..


I was so blessed to see kids accept Jesus as their savior. before I used to doubt if kids can really accept Jesus in their hearts truly... but only God knows our heart. God made his word simple for us everyone to understand it =)

Sorrow that leads to repentance

2 Corinthians 7:8-11 (NIV)

Worship Songs

I remember when I was kid (maybe around 7-10) I would go in front to sing praise and worship before we go to our Sunday School room, I was so innocent.. don't really know the meaning of the songs but it just feels right in my heart. I will sing worship songs when the windows of our cars are rolled down even though I was not blessed with a great voice I would still sing.

And when I attended my first HotRock service i was drawn by the Praise and Worship. I always tell my friends that the Bible is just hard for me to understand.. that I would rather sing worship songs for hours than listen to the preaching, but little did I know that those songs that I love to sing are all inspired by His word. And I'm just so amaze how God captured my heart.. I thought I was the one who came and find Him.. but it's really Him all along.

And this afternoon I went to Ate Gela's Music Page because I was so blessed by her songs and just worship Him. I was so down because I feel like I'm not doing good with my guitar and I was thinking that I should just quit the worship team because I'm not helping anyway. But God reminded me that I am not playing guitar for the people around me and that I focus to much on how will I look in front of the congregation that I lose the main reason of why I'm there at the first place and instead of quitting I should learn from my mistakes.

When I started learning how to play worship songs my dad keeps on encouraging me to join the worship team and all, and I would always answer that I don't think it's my calling and I learn how to play guitar so I can worship him by "myself" for my own quiet time. But God won over me, he always does, I know in my heart that He's the one who whispered to me that there's a reason why I learn how to play guitar now than years ago.. because I have the right reason now than before and if He gave me the chance to play guitar then shouldn't I be using it to glorify His name? And I'm just thankful for Him..

I wasn't aware that in-n-out have the same strategy of sharing the word as forever 21. and I just think it's a cool idea to share the word.

Finally got the chance to watch it. I won't be out of place na, hahah! It's really a great movie. It's a story that we can really see in real life. I am not in a relationship and definitely not married but somehow I know that a bad situation can happen in marriage. Divorce is never the answer when marriage fails, you have to work things out as one. Marriage is not contract when you recite the vows in front of God, it's a covenant. I like that. :D

How much of your heart will be left for your wife?

(I stumble on crosseyedblog.com and read one of their blogs.. hehe. anyway, The author quote something from the book I kissed dating goodbye by Josh Harris that hit hard on me, well of course it's a guy POV but it's still the same with us young ladies.)
